40 Squadron ATC will recruit new cadets for 2009 from December 2008 onwards. Official recruitment starts Term 1 2009. What sort of Training do we do?

The Air Training Corps provides excellent training opportunities for today's youth. Many of the activities we do are not readily available to youth in schools unless they are in specialist outdoor education classes. To learn all about our training syllabus, visit our Training Centre.

Who can join?

Almost any young male or female can join the Air Training Corps so long as they meet the following base criteria:

• Are aged 13, OR attending a secondary school, up to the age of 15 years.
• Are physically fit with reasonable level of health so that the person has the ability to participate in most of the unit activities throughout the year.

How to join:

• Come down and pay 40 Squadron a visit on parade nights
  (Every Tuesday night from 6:30pm to 9:30pm during term). You can obtain joining details from us there and then and it would be the perfect opportunity to see what we do. [During Recruitment]
  
  
• Phone the squadron on Tuesday evenings on 534-5298 and talk to an Officer or NCO about joining the Air Training Corps. Alternatively you can you contact the squadron by other means such as e-mail, and these contact details are available on the contacts page.
